Fire Technology
We engineered IsoDri to reduce water intake, helping your turnout gear stay lighter and less vulnerable to heat. Optimum moisture management comes from a thermal liner that both wicks and sheds water. IsoDri® features a facecloth that wicks perspiration which disperses the moisture for faster drying. The layer(s) of DuPont™ Nomex® E-89™ treated with Teflon® F refuse to draw in the moisture and resist absorption, allowing the thermal barrier to function as designed. DuPont Nomex E-89 based thermal liners are made from lightweight and durable nonwoven fabrics and fibers available only from DuPont™.
In addition, IsoDri® thermal liners using apertured AraFlo® promote higher air permeability than other systems and complement state-of-the-art moisture barriers such as CROSSTECH® Moisture Barriers.
LION’S exclusive CenterCut PLUS with GORE-TEX Barrier Technology provides turnout safety, comfort and flexibility in a lightweight package.
With a new level of thermal protection never seen before, CenterCut PLUS reduces heat stress and provides up to 30% more sustained thermal protection (when wet) than a conventional liner system in a working fire, while keeping your turnout drier.
Meets NFPA 1971, 2018 Edition standard.
Designed for greater sustained thermal protection when wet
Up to 30% more time to second-degree burn over a conventional, non-IsoDri® moisture management liner system
Up to 10% less body burns over a standard liner system
Exceptional heat stress management before and after the fire - arrive ready and cool down faster
Unique orientation and layering provide air gaps between layers, keeping the thermal insulation dry
