25 Years Later, We Climb to Remember

This year marks the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, a day that forever changed our nation and the fire service community. On that day, 343 FDNY firefighters and 72 law enforcement officers made the ultimate sacrifice, along with many others who have since lost their lives to 9/11-related illnesses.

At LION, our commitment to the fire service goes beyond the gear we make. We believe honoring those who protect us requires more than words—it requires action. That is why LION is proud to serve as the title sponsor of the LION Gem City 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at UD Arena.

For more than a decade, LION has been honored to support this meaningful memorial event, where participants climb or walk the equivalent height of the World Trade Center towers in remembrance of the firefighters who gave their lives on 9/11. Each step is a tribute to their courage, sacrifice and enduring legacy.

As we remember America’s fallen fire heroes, all proceeds from the event benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, which provides critical support to the families of fallen firefighters and works within the fire service community to help reduce firefighter deaths.
