Manager, Distribution Center

Morris brings over 21 years of military logistic/supply chain experience to the Lion-Vallen Industries (LVI) management team. After serving in the Army, he joined the Ford Motor Company’s Norfolk Assembly Plant as a Material Handling Manager. At Ford, he had primary responsibility were for receiving, storing and delivering parts to assembly line operations. Morris contributed to plant’s ISO 9001 initial certification and supported and supervised the implementation of visual factory and six sigma principles.

As General Manager of LVIs’ Distribution Center, Morris is located in Suffolk, Virginia. He is responsible for receiving, storing and shipping over 375,000 orders per year and maintaining accountability for over 210 million dollars worth of inventory.

Morris received his bachelor’s degree from Norfolk State University, Norfolk, VA a Masters of Education from Sul Ross University, Alpine, Texas and Masters of Management from the University of Maryland at College Park, MD.
